Pls help me with USB2.0 PCI cardhi all,
i bought a USB2.0 PCI card installed in my comp. i dint get any drivers with the card and hence am using the default microsoft driver.even though in my device manger, it shows my USB ports, it does not show that they are USB2.0 ports. when i connect my digital camcoder using the new ports, it doesnt work as my camcorder requires USB2.0. my system specifications are as follows pentium III 600MHz 20GB hard drive windows XP professional USB1.1 ports(2) 256MB RAM please help me resolve this.. many thanks in advance for you time and help.
Re: Pls help me with USB2.0 PCI cardDo you know the manufacturers name and the model ? That could help much to find updated drivers

Re: Pls help me with USB2.0 PCI cardIf your system has builtin usb ports, thats probably what your seeing in Device Manager. Try disabling the onboard usb ports in pc bios setup. Then plug your new usb 2.0 card into a pci slot, boot up and see what happens.
Was the new card detected? Did you get any notification of it being found by the system? Remember, you wont get usb 2.0 support unless you have SP1 or SP2 installed. Without the service packs, all you will get is usb 1.1 support. Reply With Quote
